Vintage low commode in solid Padouk, carved, 1950.

Crush for this magnificent Indian chest of drawers brought back from India in the 1950s. It is made of solid padauk, entirely hand-carved. Raw wood with a matte oiled finish. The piece is healthy, stable, and solid. The drawers slide easily and are impeccable. The furniture is well-made and quite heavy. Note a slight deformation of the top at the corners. Two woodworm holes without any pests on the right rear leg. Dimensions: 101 cm wide x 40 cm deep x 59 cm high. Height of the legs: 14.5 cm. Drawers x4: 21 cm wide x 29 cm deep x 13 cm high. Drawers x3: 32 cm wide x 29 cm deep x 7 cm high.
