19th century walnut writing desk

Louis Philippe period craft furniture with writing desk/desk in waxed solid walnut. Circa 1840. Notary, architect, draftsman or administrative furniture. Desk top in original black leather. Furniture restored in our workshop. Includes a writing desk section with drop-leaf, 3 drawers and 11 compartments in dark stained walnut for storing documents, binders or other items. Includes 2 keys, one to lock the writing desk section and the other for the 3 drawers. Dark patinated metal handles and antique gilt brass locks. Some slight traces of normal wear from use left, adding to the charm and authenticity of the furniture which remains in very good condition.
