Antique wooden partitioned cabinet with curtain – early 20th century

Elegant antique wooden music score cabinet, probably dating from the early 20th century. Originally designed to store and organise music scores, it features three vertical compartments protected by an ingenious wooden slat curtain. When opened, this curtain completely retracts into the lower part of the cabinet. A very lovely construction with a wavy-edged top, slender and open legs, and beautiful brass hardware, including a lock with its key and an inset handle. Beyond its original use, it is now a particularly interesting decorative piece: storage for scores, documents, magazines, or vinyl records depending on their dimensions. The cabinet has retained a beautiful old patina. It shows signs of use, wear, and scratches, particularly visible on the top: they are clearly visible in your photos and attest to its history.
