Louis XVI side table in wood and veined red marble.

Rectangular side table in Louis XVI style, probably dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, characterized by an elegant base with tapered and fluted legs connected by turned stretchers. Made of wood with a warm grain — likely walnut or cherry — it is topped with a superb red marble surface veined with white. Its compact size and refined appearance allow it to easily fit as an end table in a living room or as a side table in an entryway. Condition: A healthy antique piece, well stable and perfectly functional. The wood shows a beautiful warm patina from use, while the marble top has a small one-centimeter crack at one corner and two discreet small superficial chips. These slight signs of time testify to its past authenticity and do not detract from the solidity or charm of this characterful piece.
