Elegant side table, occasional table or pedestal table from the late 19th – early 20th century (circa 1890–1910), in the Henri II / Neo-Renaissance style. Made of solid wood (walnut/dark oak) featuring a beautiful warm grain, this characterful piece will bring authentic charm to your interior. Remarkable woodwork with four turned baluster legs connected by a sturdy sculpted "H" stretcher. Subtly cut frieze under the top adorned with carved scroll/shell motifs. Rectangular top with elegant veining and original patina (note some signs of use). Thanks to its compact and lightweight format, this side table/occasional table fits into any room of the house: As an end table in the living room. As a pedestal/table plant to showcase a sculpture, lamp, or plant. As an entry console or original bedside table in a bedroom. In beautiful vintage condition with its original patina and slight signs of wear that give it all its old-world charm. The structure is stable and solid.
