The teak frames of these two Scandinavian chairs from the 1960s are defined by continuous uprights that extend from the rear legs to the backrests, ending in wide, gently curved top rails. The seats are made from densely woven cord, also wrapped around the edges of the frames, creating a pleasing material contrast with the dark tone of the wood. The tapered legs and open backrests give the chairs a light profile, reflecting a language widely found in Nordic furniture of the period, where structural elements and natural materials remain clearly visible.
