GS60 chair in exotic wood and straw, Arne Wahl Iversen, 1960s

1960s Scandinavian chair made of exotic wood and straw, attributed to Arne Wahl Iversen. It is recognisable as the GS60 model published in Denmark by Glyngøre Stolefabrik: a crescent-shaped curved backrest, tapered legs, and a straw seat. Its strong point is the backrest. A wide curved rail, crafted from exotic wood, with dark grain standing out against the light seat. The legs, slightly angled and tapered towards the bottom, are connected by thin rungs. The natural straw seat is tightly woven and well-stretched. It is in very good condition, with no defects to report. A comfortable dining chair, with a seat height of 43 cm, that fits well around a farmhouse table as well as at a desk. Dimensions: Height 80 cm, Width 48 cm, Depth 45 cm / Seat height: 43 cm.
