Secretary desk, often referred to as a slant-front desk in Georgian or George III style, made in Britain in the mid to late 20th century as indicated by the small label with the Union Jack visible on the back. It features a slanted top (the fall front) that opens to form a writing surface. The interior is fitted with small storage compartments and miniature drawers. The writing surface is covered in red leather or faux leather adorned with gilding on the edges. Beneath the fall front are a medium-sized drawer and two cupboard doors at the base. It is veneered in exotic wood, most likely flame mahogany, a classic of British-style furniture. Locks are non-functional. In good condition.
