Portrait painting of a young French soldier, 1900

This antique portrait depicts a young man in a French military uniform, featuring bright red tassels on his shoulders and the numbers '39 39' on his collar. Signed and dated April 1900, the painting is inscribed 'À mon ami André.' The artwork shows some damage and paint loss at the bottom, but the subject and attire remain well preserved. The original frame is included. French, 1900. Oil on canvas. Condition: Wear is consistent with age and use. Former repairs to be seen.
