Old portrait of a man in a gilded frame

Portrait of a man in oil, probably dating from the early 20th century. Completely anonymous, because in fact the canvas was cut at the bottom for a strange reason, where the artist's signature certainly appeared. No inscription on the back either. As a result, the frame is a little larger than the canvas, but it is not very visible. It remains a beautiful decorative piece.
