Modular brutalist living room set – 4 armchairs + table / Germany 1970

Rare vintage lounge set from the 1970s, consisting of 4 modular armchairs and a matching square coffee table. Beautifully constructed from solid wood stained black, characterised by its thick lines, heavily rounded corners, and visible joints. Each seat rests on a cream-coloured canvas stretched over cylindrical wooden crossbars, onto which independent textured cream fabric cushions are placed. The uniqueness of this set lies in its modularity: two armchairs have an outer armrest and two are without armrests. They can thus be arranged: * in an L-shaped lounge, with the square table placed in the corner; * or aligned to form a 4-seater sofa. The set is complete and cohesive. Dimensions of an armchair: W. 68 × D. 78 × H. 90 cm Seat height: 38 cm Square coffee table: 73 × 73 cm Vintage furniture preserved in its used condition. The structure shows signs of wear and scratches, as well as areas where the wood finish/varnish has dried out over time. The tabletop also shows scratches and signs of use. See detailed photographs.
