Masterful and iconic set of French design from the 1960s, comprising a large 3-seater sofa (model S32) and its matching armchair (model S15), designed by the renowned cabinetmaker and designer Pierre Chapo. Recognised for his minimalist approach and warm brutalist trend, Pierre Chapo delivers here a perfect synthesis of his art. The geometric framework, built from solid elm, is characterised by the master’s unmistakable signature: visible joints of absolute precision. The wide armrests, enhanced by leather tension straps, frame generous cushions covered in their thick original brown leather. Wood: The solid elm has been incredibly preserved, the structure is intact and shows only minimal signs of normal wear. Leather: The back cushions are in fantastic condition for their age. The leather is supple and plump.
