Pair of bedside tables 1900

Superb pair of high nightstands in louis XVI style, 1900s. Made in france. Marble tops, marquetry and gilded bronze decoration. Made of wood (species of wood to be defined), both tables have 1 drawer and 1 door. One of the two bedside tables is equipped with a porcelain element in the lower part that was originally intended to store the chamber pot. The two tables, although part of a pair, are not completely identical. One of the doors is inlaid and the other is not. The front of the drawers is also slightly different. The marble is superb and in good condition. A leftover label under one of the two tables, however, does not confirm their origin. In good general condition for their age, they are stable, robust and heavy (each table weighs about twenty kilos). There are traces of use but they have been well cleaned and are ready to be used. Rare in this state. Height: 86 cm and 87 cm. Width: 44 cm. Depth: 37 cm. Weight: 40 kg both tables.
