Pair of bedside tables – Louis XVI style – Painted wood, oak, brass, po

Pair of Louis XVI style bedside tables, made of painted wood, with a deliberately aged grey patina revealing several layers of old paint (burgundy, grey, green). Beautiful construction from 1900. Each table consists of an upper drawer with a brass knob, a central door adorned with a gilded beaded moulding framing a double-profile panel, and an open lower shelf. The interior of the central compartment is lined with white glazed porcelain, a remnant of their original use as night tables with a chamber pot. The tapered and fluted legs, typical of the Louis XVI style, retain their partially worn gilded highlights. The two solid oak tops with mitred edges have been completely restored by the seller's workshops. The patina has been recreated in the same spirit. The set is in perfect condition after restoration.
