Restored Art Deco Walnut and Oak Side Table with Original Glass 1930s

We are proud to present a remarkable piece of 1930s European Art Deco design. This elegant two-tiered side table is a true showcase of exceptional pre-war cabinetmaking. EXCEPTIONAL VENEER AND ORIGINAL DETAILS The main tabletop is an absolute masterpiece. The craftsman utilized the highly demanding four-way match (cross-match) veneering technique using premium European walnut. The wood grain meets flawlessly in the center, creating a perfectly symmetrical, mesmerizing pattern that resembles a blooming flower or a kaleidoscope. It is incredibly rare to find pieces of this age with their fragile components intact. Resting on the stunning walnut top is the original 5mm thick glass pane, secured by authentic, period-correct metal clips. To give the piece architectural balance, the spacious lower shelf is finished in robust oak, creating a beautiful contrast with the golden walnut top. VERSATILE PROPORTIONS With a height of 70 cm, this piece is taller than a standard modern coffee table. It serves perfectly as a sophisticated side table next to a reading armchair, a chic entryway piece, or a striking pedestal for a large table lamp or a plant. RESTORATION AND FINISH The table has been completely and professionally restored in our specialized workshop. All old degraded varnishes were meticulously stripped down to the bare wood. Both the walnut and oak surfaces were treated with premium hard wax oil. This high-end treatment provides a natural, satin-matte touch that highlights the depth of the wood grain while protecting it against daily use, completely avoiding the artificial gloss of old synthetic lacquers.
