Oval coffee table – Louis XVI style – Marquetry, brass gallery, feet b

Oval coffee table with two tiers in Louis XVI style, dating from the early 20th century, likely of French manufacture. Wooden structure with veneer and meticulous marquetry on the upper tier, featuring a radiating central decoration and a border with a pattern of discs and wavy ribbons in contrasting wood. Both tiers are framed with openwork brass galleries in an arc pattern. The saber legs are fitted with cast bronze feet. The uprights are adorned with chiselled bronze appliques in a rosette style. The apron is framed with friezes of beading in blackened metal. Workshop observation: general varnish needs to be redone according to the seller. A recent touch-up is visible on one of the legs (light wood without patina). The overall structure remains in good condition. Dimensions: H. 55 cm – W. 55 cm – Weight: 15 kg.
