A rather large and striking vintage ceramic table lamp by Noomi Backhausen for Søholm Keramik, Denmark. This piece exemplifies Backhausen's celebrated perforated ceramic technique, featuring a voluptuous shape on a slightly textured surface with carefully composed circular design in the glazing, creating depth and contrast. The pale grey glaze shifts subtly in tone across the surface, contrasted with deep blue circular details, enhancing the sculptural quality of the form and lending the piece a refined, architectural presence. Elegant yet distinctive, the design balances a timeless silhouette with a modern sensibility, making it highly versatile across a range of interiors—from Scandinavian and mid-century modern to contemporary and eclectic settings. As with all works by Noomi Backhausen, the craftsmanship is exceptional, with meticulous attention to proportion, texture, and finish. Both functional and decorative, this lamp serves as a sophisticated focal point in any space. Excellent vintage condition with only minimal signs of age. The glaze is beautifully preserved. This lamp has been rewired and is currently fitted with a standard EU plug. Lamp shades are not included.
