A Danish table lamp with a ceramic base made of glazed stoneware, characteristic of the design style of the Désirée Stentøj manufactory. The base has a compact, almost cubic shape with a short stem. Its dark, multi-tonal surface combines shades of brown, graphite, and olive gray, while the varied sheen of the glaze highlights the irregular texture of the ceramic. The front of the base is adorned with a concentric relief composed of convex, arched lines centered around a central motif. The sculptural decoration contrasts with the simple side surfaces, giving the piece a distinctive, geometric character. The combination of the massive base with a light, pleated lampshade in a warm ochre shade creates a composition based on the contrast of textures, shapes, and colors. The lamp represents Danish functional ceramics from the Mid-Century Modern period, in which artisanal surface treatment was combined with a minimalist, architectural form. The ceramic base remains the central element of the composition, while the pleated shade gives the whole a distinctive silhouette.
