Sculptural ashtray on a stand by Jean-Pierre Ryckaert from the 1970s. A spectacular mix of materials: forged steel, split leather with a quilted finish, and raw bronze for the bowl, as well as a blend of colours: sharp metallic grey, yellow and grey from the solid bronze, and the saddle colour of the leather elements. Powerful, sophisticated, heavy, devilishly well-designed, of exceptional quality, it is a striking object, almost perfect in the balance between the strength of the materials and the intention of the craftsmanship. Height 55cm and 73cm with the handle. In very good condition. Sculptural and spectacular.
