Freestanding Tubax coat rack with 6 double hooks, 1950s

Tubax, a Belgian furniture brand, was founded in the 1950s and quickly gained recognition for its sleek, functional, industrial-style designs. The brand specialized in metal furniture and was known for minimalist designs that were, above all, affordable and durable. Tubax coat racks are a prime example of this: they combine simple, timeless design with sturdiness and were intended for practical use in homes, offices, and public spaces. Height: 173 cm. Width: 45 cm. Depth: 45 cm. One of the hooks has been welded at the point of the top screw (almost invisible; see detail photo). Origin: Belgium, 1950s. Material: Chrome-plated steel.
