Gispen 2215 dining chairs André Cordemeyer set of six. The characteristic polyester shell and the slender base made of solid steel rod make the Gispen 2215 instantly recognisable. André Cordemeyer designed the chair for Gispen with a clear, functional design in which material and construction play an important role. This version consists of a complete set of six chairs. The moulded polyester shells rest on slim frames of solid steel rod. The open space between the shell and the base keeps the design light, while the curved back and seat together form a distinctive silhouette. The chairs were reupholstered about eight years ago by the previous owner with high-quality Kvadrat fabric. Both the upholstery and the foam are still in very good condition. The polyester shells, metal frames and nylon floor glides are also particularly well preserved. Minor signs of use appropriate to the age are present. A beautiful complete set of six original Gispen chairs in which Dutch post-war design still looks surprisingly contemporary. The chairs are only sold as a set.
