Exceptional and rare illuminated coffee table designed by Tom Dixon in collaboration with the French electronic duo Daft Punk, produced in Italy for Habitat UK in 2004. This futuristic piece consists of a dark smoked glass cube with integrated rectangular red light modules, programmable to illuminate randomly or react to sound and music. The 10 different lighting modes can be selected using the rotary controls located on the side of the table. Produced by Habitat in a limited edition of 1, 000 pieces, this table is a remarkable example of early 2000s experimental design, bringing together furniture, technology, and electronic music culture. A highly sought-after piece by design enthusiasts and Daft Punk fans. This table is an original example labelled by Habitat and is in perfect working order. The LEDs and the 10 different programmes function perfectly, and the light patterns move to the rhythm of the music. The edge of the top glass plate on the side of the socket has lost a few small chips of glass and is protected by silicone to prevent any further cracking. The top also shows some fine scratches, but overall, the table is in good vintage condition.
