Coffee table in elm and ceramic, 1970

Superb coffee table circa 1970, crafted from solid elm and glazed ceramic, in the style of Pierre Chapo's work. Its design combines architectural rigor with the warmth of natural materials, emblematic of French handcrafted furniture of that era. The tabletop is composed of ceramic tiles in earth, sand, and ochre hues, creating a unique interplay of textures. The solid elm frame features exposed dovetail joints, a testament to exceptional craftsmanship and remarkable sturdiness.
