Jo Hammerborg Alfa wall sconces for Fog And Morup, Denmark, 1970s

A beautiful pair of Alfa wall sconces designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in the 1970s. Each sconce features a two-part cylindrical shade: the upper section in warm, naturally aged copper and the lower in matte black metal. The interiors are finished in vivid orange, casting a soft, warm-toned glow when illuminated. The shades are mounted on elegant brass arms that project from slim, black-painted wall brackets. They are adjustable, with the height and the position of the shade, very useful for reading. The brass elements display age-appropriate patina, enhancing the authentic vintage character. One of the shades retains its original “Made in Denmark” label. Both sconces preserve their original wiring, plugs, and switches, remaining fully functional while maintaining historical integrity. They can be either plugged in to an outlet or mounted straight on the wall with the wire in it.
