Blown glass carafe by Claude Morin, a key French artist in the revival of glass art in the 1970s. From his workshop in Dieulefit, he developed a formal language that is both refined and expressive, playing with the intensity of color and light. This carafe, mouth-blown in amber-brown glass, has a rounded cylindrical body, a straight, slightly flared neck, and a high handle. The bubbles and tiny irregularities visible in the material underline the artisanal character of the work. Signed under the base: Dieulefit. Bibliography: Claude and Florence Morin, words and wonders in glass, Alain Bardin, Éditions Louvre Victoire, 2021. A copy of the book accompanies the piece.
