Large handcrafted celadon glazed ceramic teapot

Large handcrafted ceramic teapot, with generous lines and a particularly balanced silhouette. Rounded and slightly flattened body, wide loop handle, raised spout. Glossy glaze, finely speckled, showcasing subtle shades of celadon green, grey-green, smoky blue, and rust brown. The variations in texture and firing effects highlight the artisanal nature of this piece. Domed lid topped with a spherical knob. The base features an unglazed circular foot revealing the terracotta and traces of the turning process. An unsigned teapot, with the workshop and period of manufacture yet to be identified. Total length, including handle and spout, 25 cm; widest diameter 17 cm; height without lid 10.5 cm; height with lid 14.5 cm. Weight 1.3 kg. Measured capacity 1 litre. A ceramic piece of character, as beautiful to look at as it is to use.
