Here are two lovely little plates, for dessert or cheese, called talking plates because they feature a drawing and a short text in the middle. They also have a beautiful floral decoration all around. The entire design is done in black, with varying numbers of lines and dots that give the impression of lighter and darker greys. They are from the same series (no. 2 and no. 5) on the theme of transport. They are stamped with the famous Creil and Montereau manufacture on the back. The design of the stamp allows them to be dated between 1886 and 1920. For plates that are over a century old, they are in very, very good condition: no cracks, no chips, not even a nick, no stains on the front. Just a few small marks or irregularities on the back that seem to be original. They measure 19.5 cm in diameter and 2.5 cm in maximum height at the rim.
