Rare pair of Art Deco bookends made of Portor marble and onyx, featuring a refined contrast of veined black and ivory tones. In generally good vintage condition. • One of the bookends is in very good condition. • The second has one or two small chips on the marble base, as well as an old repair (marble reattached to the base) visible by a fine trace of glue – see photos. The overall piece remains solid, stable, and very aesthetic. The bases are protected by new felt to preserve the surfaces. Pair sold only as a lot, not separable.
