Bench attributed to Maison Dominique made in the late 1940s. This piece perfectly illustrates the style of the duo formed by André Domin and Marcel Genevrière, distinguished by furniture with architectural lines, combining controlled geometric shapes and refined finishes. This piece in rosewood and sycamore veneer stands out with soft, enveloping lines forming the backs and armrests in a continuous movement. It perfectly illustrates the search for balance between monumentality, fluidity of curves, and decorative elegance. The contrast between the wood types highlights the sculptural silhouette of the piece, reinforced by a seat and cushions covered in cotton velvet in Papyrus colors. Combining the richness of materials with the fluidity of forms, this bench reflects the elegance of French furniture from the late 1940s. In very good condition, fully restored in our workshop.
