A lovely pair of minimalist, almost sculptural Mid-Century Modern salt and pepper shakers from the 1950s. Model no. 4290, designed by Carl Auböck II in 1950 and made by Werkstätte Carl Aubock in Vienna, Austria. The drop-shaped shakers are made of light and dark cow horn tips, and the cylindrical holder is made of walnut – both materials typical of Carl Auböck. In excellent original condition. These shakers are a joy to look at and a pleasure to hold in your hand. They are our personal favourites among the many great designs of the Aubock family. Height 10 cm, diameter 6 cm.
