Pair of Lecto armchairs, designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte for La Redoute in 1997. A very beautiful design characteristic of the 1990s, featuring a light wood architectural structure, wide armrests with slightly curved lines, and a suspended seat with adjustable tilt. The seat and backrest are upholstered in an ecru fabric that particularly complements the natural wood tone. The whole presents a sober, graphic, and timeless aesthetic, typical of Jean-Michel Wilmotte's work. The armchairs are sold as a pair and are in generally good condition. They show some signs of use and marks related to their age, visible in the photographs, without detracting from their very beautiful presence. The Lecto model is part of the collections at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and was notably presented in 2026 at La Piscine in Roubaix in the exhibition dedicated to the history of La Redoute. A pair that has become somewhat rare, interesting both as functional furniture and for enthusiasts of French design from the 1990s.
