Earthenware bowl with ears covered in glazed faience, decorated with a frieze of a village and stylised rooster motifs on the lid. Faïencerie de Charolles, produced in the mid-20th century, known for its utilitarian pieces with regional decor and nuanced glazes. Polychrome printed decoration in deep blue, olive green, and yellow, highlighted by a characteristic speckled blue scalloped border. In good vintage condition, with slight firing crazing, wear on the edges of the ears, and minor rubbing, as well as glazing defects on the base of the bowl (see photos). Diameter 12.5 cm, width from handle to handle 20.5 cm, height 12 cm, bowl depth 7 cm. An expressive and warm piece, perfect for a rustic and authentic style table.
