A well carved antique Carrara marble frame fireplace surround with stylised fleur-de-lys set in circular frames to each corner, the fielded panel jambs and frieze each outlined with generous double mould. Early nineteenth century, by repute from the Badminton Estate. A fine quality and simple eighteenth-century Georgian fireplace surround in strongly veined Italian Carrara marble, this is a largely understated design but with crisp, deep-relief mouldings showing the finesse of the carver.
