Side table series "Eros" in Marble by Angelo Mangiarotti for Skipper, contemporary edition

Angelo Mangiarotti is a key figure in Italian design. He will be particularly recognized for these tables of the "Eros" range that they will create in the 70s for Skipper in which he will implement the technique of the "gravitational joint". The concept is quite simple, almost as old as the first buildings, two blocks of stone cut to the millimeter, assembled without any mortar or cement and just abandoned to their own weight. These 2 "Eros" side tables use this technique. Each of them consists of 2 solid blocks in black Marble of Cararre.
