Original "Eros" dining table in Carrara marble by Angelo Mangiarotti, Italy

Large "Eros" dining table in very good condition. It measures 140 cm in diameter and has a 4 cm thick top. Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti and produced by Skipper in the 1970s, it is made entirely of Carrara marble, renowned for its immaculate whiteness and characteristic gray veining. The assembly is carried out without joints or clamps: the structure of the "Eros" tables relies on a gravity connection between the top and the leg, made possible by the truncated cone shape of the base. The weight of the material ensures the stability and solidity of the structure. This is an original table made by Skipper in the 1970s. Provenance: Private residence in Paris, France, where it has been located since 1978.
