Vintage Arne Jacobsen 3117 Series One Office Chair in Black Leather

A refined example of Danish modern design, this vintage Arne Jacobsen 3117 Series One, designed in 1955, seven office chair by Fritz Hansen, Denmark, dates to the late 1950s. The chair has been renovated with careful attention to both function and finish. The castors were dismantled, serviced, re-greased, and any missing ball bearings replaced, ensuring smooth movement and solid performance. Adjustable height from 45cm to 60cm. It has more than likely been reupholstered in black classic semi-aniline leather at some point offering a timeless look with a natural, high-quality feel. The wheels have more than likely also been changed as originally they were Bakelite and now they are plastic. The chrome has been polished and presents beautifully overall, with minor areas of chrome loss consistent with age-related wear—subtle signs of authenticity that do not detract from its strong visual presence.
