Vintage Gispen 2533 office chair by André Cordemeyer, 1960s/70s

Stylish vintage Gispen 2533 (or BZ) office chair, designed by André Cordemeyer as part of the Norma series. The chair features a distinctive shell made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester and a base of black-lacquered sheet steel. Thanks to a gas lift mechanism, the seat height is easily adjustable from 44 to 55 cm. The base is fitted with casters, making the chair smooth and practical to use. This model is designed without armrests, giving it a sleek and minimalist appearance. The design is characteristic of the functional Dutch style of that era. These chairs are also referred to as "BZ, " an abbreviation for *Beter Zitten* ("Better Sitting").
