Signed glazed stoneware vase, Georges Max Claudet, Art Nouveau style

Art Nouveau style glazed stoneware vase with a flamed glaze. The glaze is a gray/blue color with a marine theme, featuring seashells (see last photo). It is signed underneath in relief: "grès Claudet Salins" for the ceramist Georges Max Claudet (1882-1970), son of the sculptor Max Claudet. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. His workshop was in Salins in the Jura region, his birthplace. The stoneware is in very good condition. Height 16.5 cm, maximum width 9.5 cm, base diameter 8 cm.
