Set of six plates and a matching dish in glazed ceramic signed Capron, Vallauris, circa 1950. Roger Capron, an iconic ceramist from Vallauris, who made a mark on tableware with his graphic and sunlit language. Here, stylised characters resembling playing cards, reinterpreted in a resolutely modernist style, unfold at the centre in a colourful composition. The palette, typical of the era, combines olive yellow, deep green, and black, all on a matte white background. The plate is signed on the back "Capron – Vallauris", hand-painted. It can be displayed alone as a graphic work or integrated into a collection of 50s ceramics or mixed and matched with contemporary pieces. Price of a single plate: €450.
