Chesterfield XXL leather sofa hand-dyed

We offer for sale this magnificent large Chesterfield buttoned bench or footrest in hand-dyed brown leather. This stool is covered in high-quality premium bovine leather, hand-dyed in a beautiful chestnut brown colour, held in place by hand-hammered antique studs. It features beautifully carved feet, a design dating from the early 1800s, commonly used on Gillows tables from Lancaster and London. The bench has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom; it shows normal patina marks related to age and use, with minor wear. This vintage period item exhibits natural cracks, creases, and signs of wear in the leather, as expected. It is recommended to apply wax regularly and to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent drying out or discolouring the hand-dyed leather.
