Louis XV style footrest with six cabriole legs, sculpted and ending in the characteristic volutes of this style. The dark wood frieze is adorned with shell carvings and floral motifs. The seat is covered in emerald green damask fabric featuring laurel crown patterns and small flowers, bordered with a braided gold trim. The internal structure retains traditional upholstery on interwoven jute webbing, reflecting ancient craftsmanship. A label from a Parisian carrier specialising in art objects is affixed under the seat. Visible wear on the fabric and trimmings. Cleaning and repairs to the trimmings are to be expected.
