Large French Art Nouveau Acanthus 6 Light Bronze and Crystal Cage Chandelier

Large French Art Nouveau Acanthus 6-Light Bronze & Crystal Cage Chandelier. Crafted in bronze, this stunning 6-light fixture features a distinctive three-sided cage design adorned with elegant acanthus leaf detailing, a hallmark of the Art Nouveau style. A central finial anchors the base of the chandelier, from which six beautifully scrolled arms extend, each richly decorated with acanthus motifs and leading to ornate candle drip holders. The chandelier is suspended from a seven-link chain, three of which are decorative, connected to a bar and finished with an ornate ceiling rose. The chandelier is adorned with crystal pendants in different shapes and sizes, creating a mesmerising display, and a large glass crystal ball. The chandelier has French twin core wiring and takes 6 small screw-in type E14 bulbs. The chandelier's bronze framework is solid and sturdy, showcasing a rich, deep time-worn patina that beautifully reflects its age and history. The crystals are in good condition with no cracks, just some minor nibbles at the edges. The candle drips have been replaced with new acrylic drips in keeping with the style of the chandelier. Please note: This is a very heavy chandelier and may need ceiling braces for hanging. Due to its size and weight, it may be partly dismantled for shipping. Full reassembly instructions with photographs will be included.
