Hot water bottle lamp in solid bronze gilded style Louis XVI Lampshade Color Bordeaux "Lucien Gau"

In solid bronze, louis XVI style, this lamp with two lights, is characterized by its oval lampshade painted in burgundy color, the quality of its decoration and the cup in which rests its foot. The old gold finish of the bronze gives relief to its décor. From the cup rises the lamp foot decorated with necklace of fine pearls, leaves and shiny circles. The body begins with a detail of rising leaves, continues with a streamlined part that supports a new cup from which the arms in double volutes carrying lights. These highlighted arms, partly of foliage, benefit from a bronze treatment giving them a remarkable shine. The basins are carved with floral motifs and bear candles directly. The lampshade slides on a thin finished stem of a bud in order to adjust the height in reference to the vintage models with candles whose size was reduced as the combustion progressed.
