No words are needed for this amazing space age mushroom lamp. This model '625' lamp was designed by Elio Martinelli in 1968 for Martinelli Luce. The base is made of black enameled metal with three E27 sockets inside, and on top is a large white acrylic shade. All parts are original, and the lamp is in perfect condition. The lamp reflects Martinelli Luce’s early, heavy use of plastics (acrylic/methacrylate) and the brand’s interest in simple geometric volumes. Two are available, price is per lamp. Height: 60 cm, Width: 60 cm, Depth: 60 cm. Designed by Elio Martinelli, an Italian designer from Lucca, Tuscany, whose work helped define the look of postwar Italian lighting. Martinelli Luce, founded in 1950, became a leader in the Space-Age aesthetic, balancing technical lighting systems with expressive domestic pieces.
