Bullicante Murano Glass Ruffled Bowl / Empty Pocket

Period: ca. 1950-1970 this ruffled star shaped bowl has green rims that make them stand out well against the clear glass. This is a fine example of an object made with the bullicante technique which involves including bubbles in a controlled manner; this technique is typical of mid-20th century murano glassmaking. The glass is thick and heavy and hand blown. Condition: good. Dimensions: 7 cm high, 20 cm diameter.
