English bureau bookcase, ca. 1800. The piece consists of a lower cabinet with three spacious drawers and a drop-down writing surface. Behind the writing surface is a practical interior with various small drawers, compartments, and a central cupboard. The upper cabinet features two glazed doors with geometrically shaped glazing bars and several shelves for books or objects. The whole rests on simple bracket feet and has brass fittings. Made of oak, beautiful colour and patina. The piece is in very good condition.
