Pair of bedside tables, 1930s–1940s, Czechoslovakia

This pair of functionalist bedside tables comes from Czechoslovakia, dating from the 1930s to 1940s. The design reflects the influence of the Bauhaus and the tubular steel furniture production of the time. Each piece features a curved chrome tubular frame supporting a wooden cabinet with a door and an upper shelf. The construction is consistent with manufacturers such as Thonet or Mücke-Melder, although the attribution remains unverified. The surfaces show a warm wood tone with visible grain. Both tables are in good vintage condition with a patina and signs of wear on the wood and chrome, consistent with their age. The set remains structurally sound and complete.
