Antique neo-baroque display cabinet carved in walnut, Italy, 19th century

Neo-baroque buffet in walnut, finely carved, from late 19th century Italy. The upper part features a pair of leaded glass doors in shades of blue and purple, framed by pilasters decorated with caryatids and masks, which are also present in the upper band with leafy details and a central face. The crown is enhanced with a family crest supported by cherubs, leafy sculptures, and side pennants. The central band presents a carved back panel with openwork shelf supports and a carved dragon. The base includes two drawers beneath the top and a pair of doors, with side pilasters echoing the caryatids from the upper part, masks, and finely carved feet with beast heads. The interiors are made of poplar, providing a contrast to the walnut outer structure.
