Large two-body buffet in carved walnut – Louis-Philippe style

Elegant two-body buffet in walnut, in the Louis-Philippe style, featuring a beautiful warm patina with honey and golden brown hues. This piece of fine proportion is distinguished by its sculpted decoration of cascading fruits and foliage tied with ribbons, adorning the four door panels. The upper part, set back, opens with two molded panel doors and is crowned with a straight cornice with simple molding. The lower part includes two waist drawers, equipped with drop metal handles, as well as two molded and sculpted panel doors. Between the two bodies, a wide serving top offers a particularly practical surface. It is framed by two elegant scroll consoles, joined by a molded back panel. The whole rests on small straight feet and retains its decorative lock entries. This buffet combines the sobriety of Louis-Philippe lines with a more generous sculpted decoration, giving it a lot of character. Period: 19th century. Dimensions: Height: 226 cm, Width: 126 cm, Depth: 53 cm. Condition: overall good condition, with signs of use and small marks of time visible in the photographs.
