Here is a very beautiful set of two soup bowls with their lids, perfect for sharing a soup this winter! But they could also serve as sugar bowls or sweet jars, or even hold onions and garlic on the kitchen countertop. They are made of Puisaye stoneware with this wonderful glazing blending soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel, and chocolate, materials and colours typical of the 1970s. A beautiful artisanal work by potter Jean-Pierre Prud’homme, who signed them under the base. Jean-Pierre Prud’homme founded a handmade pottery workshop with his wife in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from Nièvre (Puisaye stoneware). This set dates from the 1970s and is in perfect condition; both bowls and lids show no cracks, chips, or even minor nicks. The bowls measure 9 cm in height, 16 cm with the lids, 16.5 cm in width including the handles, and approximately 13.5 cm in the largest diameter.
